1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how FarmBoss (“we”, “us” or “our”) handles information when you use the FarmBoss mobile application or visit farmboss.farm. We aim to collect and use information only for clear purposes connected with providing and improving the Service.
2. Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, information may include account details such as your name and email address; farm profile details such as farm name and selected country; and information you enter into the app, such as flock or livestock records, production, mortality, medication, vaccination, activities, expenses and income.
3. Country and currency
During farm setup, you may select your country. FarmBoss uses that selection to set the farm's default currency for relevant financial displays and records. This is a user-provided setting; FarmBoss does not need GPS location permission to determine your country. Changing a farm's currency may affect how new financial information is displayed, so review any in-app warnings before making a change.
4. How information is used
Information is used to create and manage your account, provide farm-management features, save and synchronise supported records, generate reports, support authorised users within a farm, respond to support requests, maintain the security and operation of the Service, and meet legal obligations.
5. Cloud services and sharing
FarmBoss uses Firebase services for account and cloud-data functionality. Information submitted to cloud features may be processed and stored by service providers acting on our behalf. Where a farm owner invites or authorises managers or other team members, relevant farm information may be made available to those authorised users according to the app's roles and permissions. Do not enter information you are not authorised to share.
6. Location and advertising
FarmBoss is not designed to require GPS location permission for the country-selection and currency features described above. FarmBoss does not display third-party advertising as part of the current product plan. If these practices change, this policy and any applicable app disclosures will be updated before the change takes effect.
7. Analytics and diagnostics
We are reviewing whether analytics or crash-reporting services are enabled in each app release. If such services are used, this policy and the relevant Google Play Data safety disclosures will identify the information collected, the purposes and applicable service providers. Do not treat this section as confirmation that no diagnostic data is collected.
8. Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate operational, security, legal and dispute-resolution purposes. You can initiate account deletion through the in-app account deletion feature. Deletion may take time to complete across systems. Some information may be retained where required by law or where a limited record is necessary for security, fraud prevention or legal claims.
9. Security
We use service and access controls intended to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. You should protect your login credentials and notify us if you suspect unauthorised access.
10. Children's privacy
FarmBoss is a business and farm-management tool and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review the matter.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict certain personal information. You can update some account or farm information within the app. For privacy requests, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
12. International processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers.
