1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the FarmBoss mobile application and website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Who may use FarmBoss
You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. If you use FarmBoss on behalf of a farm, company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that organisation.
3. Your account
You are responsible for providing accurate registration information, keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and activity carried out through your account. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. Do not share passwords or attempt to access another user's farm or records without authorisation.
4. Permitted use
You may use FarmBoss for lawful farm-management and record-keeping purposes. You must not misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass access controls, upload malicious material, or use it in a way that violates applicable law or another person's rights.
5. Farm records and responsibility
You remain responsible for the accuracy, completeness and legality of information you enter into FarmBoss, including livestock, production, health, inventory and financial records. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate independent records and backups where necessary.
FarmBoss provides organisational and record-keeping tools. It is not a substitute for veterinary care, professional agricultural advice, financial advice or your own business judgement. Decisions about animal health, feeding, medication, vaccination, staffing and farm operations remain your responsibility.
6. Subscriptions and payments
If paid plans or subscriptions are offered, the applicable price, billing period, included features and renewal or cancellation terms will be presented before purchase. Taxes, payment processing and refunds will be handled in accordance with the terms shown at purchase and applicable law. We will not charge you for a paid plan unless you have selected and authorised it.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, improve or change features of the Service. We aim to keep FarmBoss available, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. Some functions may depend on internet connectivity, device compatibility or third-party services.
8. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service or comply with law, including where these Terms are materially breached. You may stop using FarmBoss at any time. Account deletion can be requested through the in-app account deletion feature; certain information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate record-keeping, security or dispute-resolution purposes.
9. Intellectual property
FarmBoss and its associated branding, software, design and content are owned by or licensed to the FarmBoss operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain rights to the content and records you submit, subject to the permissions needed to operate the Service.
10. Disclaimers and limitation
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free or that every record will always be available. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, FarmBoss will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use FarmBoss. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read that policy.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Where required by law, we will give additional notice or obtain consent.
13. Governing law
These Terms are subject to the laws applicable to the FarmBoss operating entity and the user's mandatory consumer protections. The operator's legal name, registered address and governing-law details should be completed before commercial launch.
